I would like to thank Peter Gersten for the following reports from the 7/1/99 CAUS newsletter

	1) CAUS thanks J.N. for this report:

I have seen this triangle but because of my past experience I hesitate
to put anything in writing and sign my name to it. I am currently a
consultant to foster care group homes and as such, have to have good relationships with many government officials
within local to federal agencies and cannot do anything that would jeopardize my standing. I would submit an affidavit
if my identify could be protected, but I can tell you, it makes me very nervous to think I could be called as a
witness at some future date. Also, I can't actually recall what year this was -- sometime between 1994 or 1995.
It was when we were experiencing those "sky quakes" here in Los Angeles. I do recall it was on a Thursday
between 10 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. It was a solid triangle shape. I've seen the pictures of what is believed to be
Aurora, and it didn't look like that to me. It had no wings and no cut out parts, it was a solid triangle. What
was most striking to me was that it seemed to have, for lack of a better way to describe it,a "cloaking device"
as I felt it's presence before I saw it--it just appeared above me, and then it just disappeared. The other thing
that stands out in my mind is how the atmosphere seemed to become really dense, almost condensed all around me
and I felt somewhat pressurized. It was really close--almost directly overhead--but it was difficult to see details
because of the way the pressure effected my eyes which I had to shield as I looked upward. It did appear to be
gun metal gray in color and I did see what I took to be an observation window (round) in the center of the triangle,
but it could have been a spot light. There were what appeared to be lights around the sides, but I can't be sure
they weren't smaller windows. That's about all I can recall other than I never saw it leave, it just disappeared
and the air was once again normal. I've told my story before, but never in a public way. As I said, I would add
it to the affidavits you are collecting, but I'm not sure I can risk my career which has been a long time in creation.

	2) CAUS thanks Mitchell for this report:

In 92 I saw a triangle. It came from behind me and I saw it come over
me. It had to be as big as two football fields. It had lights on all corners
and a cluster of lights in the middle. It came overhead and startled me and
as it came it moved slowly. It didn't make a sound. It wasn't that high
up...around 800-900 ft in the air. The size was mind blowing. I wasn't
scared...just a question came to mind, how something that big could move that slow? I watched it for a few minutes
and the weird part of the whole event was that when the UFO went away about 6 or 8 helicopters came overhead. I
heard them coming and saw them follow the UFO until it was out of sight. I was 16 then when I went to tell my parents,
they told me I was seeing things. But I still remember every detail of the object.

	3) CAUS thanks Terry Kimbrell (TKIMBRELL@ prodigy.net) for this report:

On the night of Sat. 5/8/99 at approx. 10:27pm ET my 16 yr. old
niece and myself witnessed the "glide-over" of an unidentified
boomerang-shaped object over Hartsville, South Carolina. We were
stargazing outside my father-in-law's home, when my niece suddenly
exclaimed WOW! When I looked up after checking her direction of
sight, I saw a "darker than night" boomerang-shaped shadow glide
silently (no sound at all) overhead. Even though my field of view was
brief, the outline was very distinct. The object had rounded edges,
with 7 yellow-gold lights lining the front edge (one at the front, 3
down each leg). The lights gave off no reflection on the object, just
points of light, like they might be recessed into the object. I lost
sight after the object passed over the roof of the house. This was
	what I witnessed.

The first sight was by my niece (who used to be a skeptic about
UFO's) who saw the object at approx. 40 degrees above the horizon. She
saw 5 patterns connected together in a V-shape (I did not see the
patterns). They were a dull gray, reflecting the city lights in the
distance from below. The shape of the patterns from her drawing (she
made the drawing on my request within minutes of the sighting) were
concave arcs on the front and convex arcs on the back. She did not
see the 7 lights, that is one reason I think they were recessed in
the object and I saw them when it was directly overhead.

CAUS thanks Brenda Johnson ([email protected]) for this report:

I have some film taken about two years ago of what I think are UFOs in
the daytime. I live in the city. I was not taking UFOs, just wanted to
take a picture of the sky. For some unknown reason when I looked at the
film on the TV I saw about four or more black dots that appeared to be
jutting very fast in and out of clouds. Then standing still. Some
seemed to be cloaking. They were not birds. They seemed to be oval
or round. No one has seen this film except for my immediate family
because I don't know anyone other than you who would be interested in looking at
it. I don't have a camera right now to put the film on a video tape for you so we may have
to wait until I get another camera.
One day not too long after that, my daughter who was nine at the time,
told me to come outside and see a UFO. It was daytime. I looked up at where
she was pointing and there was a black dot in the sky standing still. She
said she did not know why she looked up but that she just felt that she
should and there it was. After a few moments it moved further up into the sky and
we could not see it anymore. She seemed very happy about this whole thing
	for some reason.
Also I have seen these triangular craft that you are talking about. I
saw them about 25 years ago in Springfield, Md. There were about twenty or
thirty of them flying in formation. I lived in an area that was very
dark at night and a deserted field was nearby. They just seemed to be flying
slowly in formation and did not worry about detection. The lights were
as everyone else is describing. I sent a telepathic communication for one
to come closer and it did. It flew directly over my head as close as eight
to ten feet. It stopped, tilted, and flashed it lights in a circling
fashionso that the lights went around and around. It made only a whooshing
sound. Then it went back up and did all sorts of UFO type maneuvers so that I
could not mistake it for anything else. They just showed off for me and
	I enjoyed it.

	--1999; for this report:

GAINESVILLE. FLA – On Friday, May 7, 1999, Cheryl Kirkland and her
boyfriend were traveling west on NW 39th Avenue between Main and NW 6th Streets,
Alachua County. Cheryl said, "I was in the passenger seat, while my
boyfriend was driving when I noticed three objects in the distance on
my side ahead at 8:15 PM. As we got closer, I realized that they were
floating, not flying. I know they were not birds since I am a bird enthusiast and
have experience in bird identification. They were three "balls" dark gray
to black in appearance and were in a vertical triangular formation (not a
triangular flight pattern horizontal and parallel to the ground). I
thought that they were perhaps balloons but decided they were rather large to
be balloons and did not think three balloons would float and remain in a
triangular pattern. They were the size of a small automobile. Two of
the balls moved up and down. I said, "What are those three balls in the
sky -- slow down!" We drove at 30 mph and slower. They flew right by in a
perfect spherical shape. My boyfriend slowed down and glanced over and saw the
objects, but could not get a good look. I told him to pull over. He
said he couldn't. I yelled, "Pull over." He argued, "There's no place to pull
over!" He was able to drive slowly, while I kept my eye on the
objects. Then they just vanished. My boyfriend said he did briefly see three
objects and they were moving up and down. I called the police, but the officer
I spoke with seemed skeptical. He told me to call the local TV station.
I spoke to the local TV meteorologist, who said there were no weather
balloons in this area. He suggested they may have been reflections from the
sun. However, they were not shiny. They were dark balls and definitely
solid objects. The UFO was sighted for 3 to-4 minutes at 1/4 mile. Thanks to

KARNES CITY, TX -- Michael Harvey writes that in the summer of 1971, I
was working the night shift for Conoco Oil Company at an open pit uranium
mine west of Karnes City. I was one of six people operating Caterpillar
657B earth movers. We were down to about 210 feet deep when this incident
happened. It was about 11:10 PM, just after shift change. We were
getting ready to crank our machines, when the 85 acre pit lit up as if it was
daylight. The light was so bright that I had to squint because it hurt
my eyes. I remember hearing a high pitched hissing noise and the hair on
my arms stood on end. I was so scared! I fell to the ground and started
praying. I remember trying to look up, but the light was so bright I
could not. After about two minutes, the light started getting dimmer and I
could finally look up at it. What I saw amazed me. The object was round and
the bright light was coming from the center of the bottom of the UFO.
Around the perimeter of the craft were hundreds of penlight size light beams that
alternated in all colors of the spectrum. Now, I know they were laser
beams. The UFO was rising up slowly at first and then went straight up out of
sight in about 10 seconds. I was crying and shaking and so was everyone
else. The other shift workers thought we were crazy when we told them what had
happened. But, we got the last laugh. This is how we proved the
sighting actually happened. There is a vein of uranium ore that runs from
George, West Texas to almost Texarkana, Texas. When determining where to place
a uranium mine, the following steps are accomplished: (1) A geologist
with a Geiger counter flies over the area and finds the highest radiation
reading. (2) Drilling trucks are sent out and core samples are drilled to
determine the highest concentration of ore. These core samples are drilled in a
grid pattern and every core sample is given a tracking number and logged in
showing the concentration and amount of uranium present. (3) The open
pit mine is then laid out according to these core samples. When this UFO
incident happened, we were about two feet away from a layer of hard
rock called the "tap rock" that lies directly on top of the uranium ore.
The uranium ore varied in depth from 6 to 18 inches and had about the same
brown color as low grade coal. Two days after this incident, the tap rock
was removed to expose the uranium ore. We were astounded to find that the
uranium ore was now a chalky white substance that had NO radioactivity
at all! There was a 250 foot diameter circle of this chalky material in
the center of the pit. Outside of the circle, the uranium ore was still as
potent as before the incident. Core samples do not lie. This chalky
material was uranium before this incident. Many a night I have thought
about what happened and wondered why the UFO needed the uranium? Thanks to

CAUS thanks Bill Hamilton ([email protected]) for this report:

Well, Skywatchers, we had a little excitement again in Palmdale, CA.
We seemed to have a feeling that something was in the air (pun
intended). I received a phone call around 9 PM while I was on
the computer. My wife was on her way to look at the sky with
her binoculars (there must have been a disturbance in the force)
when the phone call came in from a lady residing about 20 blocks
	east of us.

Margaret heard her dog and the neighbors dogs barking and went
outdoors to investigate. The night was clear and the stars bright.
The temp was about 55 and the wind was blowing from the West.
Her attention was drawn to a box-like (square) formation of
yellow-white lights moving silently overhead about 2 blocks
east of her position. Suddenly the lights broke up and rushed
off in different directions. The square formation consisted of
about 3 lights on a side.

I grabbed my "stuff" and headed out the back door. I immediately
noticed something I had not seen in some time -- a rapidly blinking
red and white strobe. The strobe frequency is higher than that
of conventional aircraft. What sets these type of aerial objects
off from normal aircraft is their movement. They zigzag and "jump"
from side to side and even in a backward direction (as if a drunk
driver is behind the controls). These jumps are sometimes quite
large and will sometimes leap right out of the binoculars' field of
view. This is not (I repeat not) an optical illusion. I have shown
these jumpers to skeptical pilots who are baffled by the movements.
I have actually seen the structure on one of these jumpers in
twilight once and it looked like a dark chevron-shape that disappeared
and reappeared as it jumped from position to position.

We also saw the Air National Guard C-130s flying their loop over the
Antelope Valley and their movement is continuous, smooth, and slow.
By that time, the jumper was out of sight. I could not get videocam
rolling fast enough to catch it this time, but I will catch it one
	of these times.

If anyone else has seen these jumpers with rapid red and white strobes
(and sometimes the strobe lights seem to split far apart), I would
be interested in hearing of it.

Thiago Ticchetti reports that the NOTÍCIAS POPULARES Newspaper claims
that a Flying Saucer appeared over ten Latin American countries during Monday
afternoon and dawn on Tuesday, June 12 and 13, 1999. A spaceship the
size of a football field may have landed in Goias, Brazil. There are several
reports, all very similar, from residents of Chapadão do Sul, in Mato
Grosso and Chapadão do Céu, Goiás. The phenomenon would have been seen in
Bolivia, Colômbia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Panamá, México, Peru and Venezuela.
The main report came from Francisco Fetter who was at work and around 6:00
PM. He looked to the sky and saw a strange thing. The thing looked a pot
cover. The size was about a football field, had lights and became red before
disappearing. He saw the UFO for three minutes and called another
office 80 kilometers away. When Mozar Menezes got the call, he said, He was
could see the object. "It was a spectacular light, wonderful," said Francisco.
Housewife Ema Helena Schilick and her children, said that they also saw
a strange object in the sky. Eunice Claudia and Ernane Emerson were at
the bus stop when the UFO appeared. They said that it was a round object,
enormous, and moving very slow. Four tourists at the Parque Nacional das Emas
tell the same story. "This thing is a burning hot story," said the Revista UFO
editor, A.J. Gevaerd. "We've received dozens of from all over Latin
America." Gevaerd is going to Chapadão do Sul to investigate -- "I am
going to interview some witnesses, because usually when these sightings

PUEBLA – On June 1, 1999, three UFOs were filmed by Mexican Television
over the city of Puebla in broad daylight. Mexican television has shown at
least three UFOs hanging over the city of Puebla southeast of the Mexican
capital. Judging by the film shown by "Atsteka" television the UFOs were visible
in the sky for around five minutes. The phenomenon had been watched on
Monday morning by dozens of people. They said, the UFOs, were rather large,
and were lined up in space eight kilometers wide. The UFOs had a silver
color, a round shape and emanated a powerful light. One of them quickly
disappeared, while the other two moved southwest, flying at a very high speed.

Major UFO Sightings In the famous 'Surrey Corridor' in British Columbia
Strange Lights Reported Over White Rock
By Tom Zytaruk; The Surrey Now 5-25-99

	>From a galaxy far, far away?

White Rock appears to have enjoyed a special preview of Star Wars this
past weekend, as four independent sources are claiming to have seen
strange goings on in the night sky there on Friday, Saturday and
	Sunday.

North Delta resident Graham Conway, president of UFO*BC, is quite
impressed with the number of unexplained sightings.
"I don't understand what's going on," he said. "For some reason there's
a lot of activity going on in White Rock. This is such a collection of
	such good eye witness stuff."

A man reportedly ran into the Ocean Beach pub about 10 PM Friday,
"stuttering like mad" that he'd seen a huge blue plasma ball cruising
	over Semiahmoo Bay.
"He said it was monstrous," said UFO tracker Bill Oliver, of Guildford.
	"He was rattled big time."
Whatever it was cast such a bright light it lit up the sea beneath and
"apparently acted in an intelligent manner," said Conway.
The thing apparently cruised over the bay, around Kwomais Point and
	"out of sight."

Then on Saturday, the really interesting stuff began. Two young women
and a girl, South Surrey residents, were at the McDonald's restaurant
on Johnston Road when they claim to have seen a huge boomerang-shaped
object with eight lights on front, at about 10 PM. Shaking with fear,
they watched it move "very, very slowly" for about eight seconds before

it took off. Conway said the experience left the 11-year-old girl crying
and one of the women, 18, so disturbed she slept with her light on the
	following two nights.

About five minutes after that sighting two women were standing on White
Rock pier when they claim to have seen a wedge-shaped object 'a flying
triangle' traveling below the tree level. They watched it for about
three or four minutes as it headed across the bay, away from White
	Rock.

Then on Sunday, about 10:15 PM, Jen Pieschel and her boyfriend Kevin
Pearce saw a wedge-shaped object flying over Highway 99, near the
Crescent Road turnoff. They saw it had blue and red flashing lights,
and then spotted an amber flash, like a flare, from a second craft.
"We saw something weird," Pieschel said. "We just want to know what it
	was."
They searched the Internet and found something like what they saw: An
F-117A Nighthawk stealth bomber. Only thing is, Stealths can't hover.
	Or can they?

The sightings this past weekend weren't the first such sights in the
White Rock/South Surrey area, either. Richard Desilets of Aldergrove
was near Zero Avenue and Pacific Highway earlier this year when he saw what
looked like "two headlights" blinking on and off just above a set of power lines.
"It sounded like a plane, like a turbine motor, but very, very quiet,"
he said. "It just slowly took off."

In spite of the four sightings this past weekend, Transport Canada,
NAVCAN, Vancouver International Airport's Traffic Control tower, Surrey
and White Rock RCMP, the weather office, National Defence, and
Vancouver Planetarium astronomer David Dodge either hadn't heard of anything
unusual, or didn't know what to make of it. Dodge noted though, that
the US Whitby Island naval base it not far away from White Rock.
"If it's a military thing, they don't keep me informed," Dodge said.
Still, an official at the naval station told the NOW the wedge-shaped
	objects aren't theirs.
"There're pretty cool, but we don't have them here," he said.
The UFO*BC sightings hotline is 878-6511.

5-25-99 beginning at 2:43 am and ending at 3:16 am three triangular
objects were seen traveling from the North and arriving in the Southeast corner
of the Rainbow Valley area of Arizona. The objects repeatedly moved away
and then back to the area and at times were in such close proximity they
appeared to be connected. All three objects moved up, down and side to side in
a flutter motion until they suddenly disappearing with no warning or in
	any particular motion.

The objects appeared so close to the mountains below, at times, they
may have landed briefly. I could not from my vantage clearly discern any great
detail, however I was clearly able to view the triangular shape evident
by angles joining at the corners and two visible flat fields being a top
and bottom. As my point of view was at least one to two miles from the
contact from the objects, I am guessing they must be quite large. A complete
electrical failure coincided with this event. I witnessed this event
because the animals on my ranch became frantic and woke me out a sound sleep.
My horses, birds, and dogs became so agitated, I thought we either had a
wild animal or human prowler on the premises. No evidence of either was
discovered as I made a sweep of the property. It was at this time I
viewed the arrival of three objects and their subsequent activities.

On Friday, April 30th, a friend and I were in the middle of the desert in New Mexico, just near the Very Large
Array (VLA). We were just out in a car listening to the radio when we noticed a pentagonal-shaped "aircraft"
with red lights along the periphery (since it definitely did not like any aircraft I've ever seen) hovering motionless
and without making anysounds. Intrigued by this "object" we began to watch it for the next few minutes.
Soon afterwards, however, we noticed a very large beacon of green light coming from the "aircraft" and
illuminating the ground below. Startled, we began to panic and ran to our car. We
immediately started our engine, turned our headlights and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Perhaps
seeing that the aircraft was not alone in the area, "they" quickly turned off their lights and just as
quickly as they came, they disappeared. When we got
back home, we noticed the location they were hovering above coincided with a cattle ranch. Who knows what they
were up to. We didn't think about it too much until we overheard on the radio one night about one of Nostradumus'
predictions. He said that on the seventh month of 1999, the antichrist would make his presence known. This sent
a cold shiver down our backs. Was this pentagonally shaped aircraft a sign that the antichrist is already here
and Armageddon is at hand? Please, if any others in the New Mexico area saw it or if any of the radio astronomers
	at the VLA were able
to record this alien aircraft, get a hold of us.

around 22:00 hours. At first I thought it was just a star, but as I watched I
realized it was at 10,000 feet or so, and it was slowly descending. It
finally came to a stop at around 500 feet above the ground and remained
idle with no movement or noise. It was a triangular shape craft that had a
blue glow to it and three bright purple lights one at each corner. This
craft was enormous in size about 300 feet across. It stayed hovering over my
house for at least 4 to 6 minutes. Then the craft's purple lights turned off and
it emitted a whine noise and rapidly lifted up in the sky. It climbed to
about 6000 feet. It accelerated and took off at a very high speed probably

sighting a boomerang shaped UFO on the night of May 8, 1999. We were star gazing
outside my at 10:27 PM, when my niece exclaimed WOW! When I looked up,
I saw a "darker than night" boomerang-shaped shadow glide silently overhead.
My 16 year old niece and myself witnessed the "glide-over." Even though my
field of view was brief, the boomerang outline was very distinct. The object
had rounded edges, with 7 yellow-gold lights lining the front edge. One
light was at the front and three were down each leg. The lights did not
reflect on the object, just points of light, as if they might be recessed. I lost
sight after the object passed over the roof of the house. The first sighting
was by my niece who saw the object at 40 degrees above the horizon. She
saw five patterns connected together in a V-shape at less than a mile. They
were a dull gray, reflecting the city lights in the distance from below. She
made a drawing on my request showing the shape of the patterns. There were
concave arcs on the front and convex arcs on the back. She did not see the 7
lights, that is one reason I think they were recessed in the object. I saw
them when the craft was directly overhead. The apparent size was 2 ½ to 3 inches
from tip to tip at arm's length giving it a calculated size of 500 to 600
feet. The angle of the boomerang wing was 120 degrees. The craft was flying
from the West to the Northeast at 500 to 600 MPH. Its altitude was 2,000 to
3,000 feet. The sighting was for 5 to 7 seconds. We contacted police, radar
sites, and Sergeant Pintar Shaw Air Base, Sumter, SC. She said they
only had F-16's stationed there and no Stealth aircraft, nor boomerangs, etc.
My investigation is still ongoing. I made a computer generated drawing of
the UFO that can be sent on request to: JJLJ45A@ prodigy.com. Thanks to

I would like to thank Peter Gersten of CAUS for the following stories from rhe 5/20/99 newsletter

	1) CAUS thanks Shirley for this report:

May 12, 1999, another triangular craft seen at 9:50 PM flew over my
home. The weather conditions at Suffolk Airport on Long Island, partly cloudy,
calm winds, temperature 50 degrees, 10 mile ceiling unlimited. The craft had
alternate blue and white lights from point to point, a perfect
triangle, the craft was huge. It flew over the wooded area between my home and the
baseball park, which I was able to see it clearly. This is a real large craft,
it flew extremely low. As I said before I live near West Hampton Air Force
Base. This craft is flying over a populated area just outside of Riverhead. The
first time I saw this craft was back in April and at night. I did take
pictures of this craft in April, but they did not come out. Time to buy a
	camcorder!

This is the exact post I got on my message board: UFO Sighted in NH
	Monday, 17-May-1999 16:28:38

I recently spotted a UFO in southern NH. It was on Sunday, May 16th
1999 at about 11 PM eastern standard time. It appeared to be like a craft
coming in for a landing, but instead it just seem to hover over a 14 story
building and with no sound whatsoever. It was a triangular shaped object about the
size of the whole roof of the building. it stayed there for about 15 minutes
and then it moved over the city and towards the airport and it kept going and
going even passed the airport. There is a major hydro plant in the city that
I live in. The city I live in is Manchester, NH. I am surprised it didn't make
	the news or newspaper.

	3) CAUS thanks Art Bell for sending us this report from Dave :

I'm from BC Canada about 45 minutes south of Vancouver. Over the
weekend, Fri/Saturday nights we had multiple UFO sightings. Several people saw
them and there was a front page article in our local paper. One of the UFOs
was a triangle shaped and the other was a boomerang shaped UFO. If you could
tell your snail mail address I could send the report to you.

	4) CAUS thanks Arnold Knowles for this report:

I know this may sound crazy, but I sometimes have an ability to see
through other's eyes. I saw the triangular UFO arise from the woods
somewhere in England through the eyes of a small boy. There was a
second one. I was able to see inside the massive craft where men stood
around a square table of some sort. I was shown an object of which I
have trouble recalling what it was. Is there a way to contact other
people who have the same abilities?

I am a witness to a triangular object sometime in '91. I was returning
to Prescott from Phoenix and it was late afternoon. The last big hill
(I-17) is very narrow. That was where this object crossed so close it threw its
shadow. I thought at first it was a Stealth but realized there was NO Sound! I regret
that I didn't pull over to watch it go towards the Southeast. And I
also regret that I don't have the exact date. Maybe sometime in the fall of
'91 otherwise I would fill out the affidavit you request of triangular sightings.
