What is an Apparition ?
Apparitions often come in the form of ghosts, but then again what is a ghost ?
A ghost comes in different forms
I believe that a looping ghost is only a reflection of the past where perhaps their was a traumatic death, I don't believe that this type of ghost has any soul or conscious form and therefore I don't believe there is any need to worry about this type of ghost.

Angry ghosts are ones who don't realize they are dead. They are just pissed off because someone has move into their house. Perhaps ghosts that don't know they are dead because of the way they died and are just plain angry that no one pay any attention to them. Their are also ghosts that know that they are dead and just don''t care. People who are angry in life a most likely angry in death..

Friendly ghosts probably realize that the are dead but can't find their way out to the the light. they can seem playful and perhaps enjoy staying in a location surrounded by the living. There have been cases of ghosts helping out people in times of emergencies.
